As of 2012, 541,571 Ohioans --- 6.3 percent --- reprted having a serious mental illness that prevented them from working or doing regular activities for 14 days or more.

About 47 percent of those said they recieve or need mental-health treatment.

More than 93 percent said they expected their mental-health issue would last 12 months or longer.
